White Magnolias

by Jason Vonderheid

White Magnolias

The scent that hints

It drifts and flirts

Lilac laces

Tied across my waist

And braided through my hair

Pretty faces

That lead me to believe

And love

White Magnolias

The scent that hints

It drifts and flirts

Lilac laces

Tied across my waist

And braided through my hair

Pretty Faces

That lead me to believe

And love

The lies that screams

The shame I feel

It kills me here

And tear my heart apart

White Magnolias

The scent that hints

It drifts and flirts

Lilac laces tied across my waist

And braided through my hair

Pretty faces

That lead me to believe

And love

The lies that screams

The shame I feel

It kills me here

It digs and bleeds

And tear my heart apart

White Magnolias

Lilac laces

Pretty faces

I personally love this song, maybe because the lyrics are so simple and yet the music is so touching. I wrote this song for Petals at Pop His Pills, she sings this after she took the pills that turned her into a younger version of herself. She stared at the mirror and saw the 20 year old her, she’s at the garden wedding of her sister, she was young and she instantly fell in love with this younger guy at the wedding who just winked at her. So she followed him, they sneaked out of the wedding reception area into the forest where she followed him only to find out that he tricked her, he’s with two other guys who shamelessly raped her. The song revealed all the past pains of Petals and explained why she always crave for attention. The song returns at the scene with Nurse Pam where she kneels down on the floor to propose to her boyfriend who just flat out said no. This is Nurse Pam’s high school sweetheart and he’s the guy who invented those pills that turned Ashton into a younger version of himself. So it crushed Nurse Pam to learn the truth that he’s not really going to take her seriously. As she sings the song, she imagined herself at this church, all dressed up in her wedding gown with white Magnolias in hands, she walks across the church aisle only to find that he’s not waiting for her at the end of the aisle. She’s standing in the middle of the church, alone at her wedding. Use the link at our BL Script to access Pop His Pills script scenes, the script revision for Pop His Pill is currently in progress.
