The love that you take

by Jason Vonderheid

The love that you take

Is the heart that you break

As you pound on the ground

Stare at my face

The hate that you make

The shame you create

It stays and blame

The love that I take

What heart does it break?

As I pound on the ground

I stare at your face

All I see is the thrill

Can you feel what I feel?

This love is real

The lies that screams

The shame I feel

It kills me here

It digs and bleeds

And tear my heart apart

The love that you take

Is the heart that you break

The love that I take

What heart does it break?

As you pound on the ground

Stare at my face

All I see is the thrill

Can you feel what I feel?

The shame you create

This love is real

The lies that screams

The shame I feel

It kills me here

It digs and bleeds

And tear my heart apart

The love that you take

Is the heart that you break

All I see is the thrill

This love is real

Writing this song for Teddy and Miguel in the rape scene at Laundry Teddy is something that’s really hard for me, because it’s a crucial scene where Drew will come in and prove to Teddy that he can take care of him, and that he’s taking him really seriously. This scene is suppose to be a happy moment, Teddy and Drew are just starting something, as Drew climbs the stairs towards Teddy’s roof top apartment to surprise him with flowers in hands, Miguel locks Teddy right at the ground, taking everything. Miguel revealed his frustrations for Teddy, he doesn’t want to be just Sylvia’s lover, (Teddy’s mom) he wants Teddy to love him. Thus the song has two interpretations of love viewed from two angles and two different perspectives. Teddy and Miguel sings the song together, their feelings clashes as the scene is executed with this song. To check out the BL Script scenes for Laundry Teddy head on to the Script section of our site.
