How to deal with guilt


You cheated, and you know that you're at fault. How to deal with guilt:  1. It starts by recognizing your mistake and learning to forgive yourself.  2. Reach out, and try to fix the situation, go ahead and do it at the soonest time possible.  3. Don't rationalize things, and find your way out of your guilt, you know that it was your fault, there's no going around it.  4. Talk to someone, a close friend that you truly trust. It's important to have someone that you know cares about you.  5. Guilt is a strong emotion, sometimes it takes time before it goes away, sometimes it needs a quick resolution, and instantly its gone. You're  a human being, with flaws, nobody's perfect. You can check again, if you don't believe this fact.
